Civil Process Service

You’ve been served!

On February 10, 2019 by admin

Certainly a familiar cliché that you have heard in the movies, but the reality is that Constables, aka Civil Process Servers rarely say it. Certainly not any of the Constables here at Orion Services Inc. We are not about the drama. If you ever get served by any of us, know that we are sensitive that this may be a difficult situation. We respect the civil process and are essentially a disinterested third party. What that means is our client uses Process Servers whom have no interest in the outcome of what ever circumstance with you or our client. Our job is to inform you of a civil action so you have the opportunity to properly present your answer and be heard. We spend a lot of time looking for you, but that is a good thing. If we fail in finding you, our remedy is to mail documents to your last and usual address, whether you currently live there or not. Once that is certified by a constable, you have been served. You may not know it, and now a case will likely proceed without you having the abilty to be heard or to present your answer. A judgement is likely to NOT be in your favor. If you ever get served, and you have questions about civil process, it is in your best interest to consult with an attorney. If you are in a situation that you can not afford related expenses contact the applicable Court and see if a fee waiver can assist you.
