Orion Services Inc is a Veteran owned business. We proudly served our country in The United States Air Force. As civilians we endeavor to go from Swords to plowshares as we use skills we developed serving as Military Police, Military Interpreter, Security Specialist, Electronic Communications relating to both Security and military intelligence agency.
Patrick J McLaughlin, CEO of Orion Services Inc, A native of Gloucester grew up with modest means in an area where social survival relied primarily on street skills. After high school Patrick Served several years active duty in the USAF as a communications technician. Typically this type of field would focus skills on ground radio communications equipment used to communicate to aircraft. This was not the case for Patrick. Most of his USAF career was focused either in a Top Secret deep underground facility responsible for secure command and control communications or in Europe on an Air Intelligence Agency base serving along side of Naval Intelligence personnel which did not have airfield or aircraft nor was there an ocean or ships. Because of the nature of these military assignments, security was a big part of day to day operations. After leaving the USAF the first civilian job still required a security clearance with the primary responsibility working with the US Strategic Command at remote secure communications facilities located from the Northern tip of Maine to Southern New Jersey. Part of the job included maintenance and protection of the the facilities as well as protection of equipment and other classified materials possessed at home or carried to job sites 24/7/365. The rules of securely protecting assets intensify as a civilian. There is no Military Police traveling along side to provide protection of assets or personnel while performing duties at all hours of the day or night. Moving on from military communication added another Facet to my experience with a cell phone carrier company that used Israeli military technology for a US Based commercial cell system. Training on this equipment was with Rafael, an Israeli defense contractor on a Naval base in Haifa, Israel. By this time, security and asset protection were muscle memory. Eventually the economy dictates having a second job. Now it’s time to take the security muscle memory and apply it to a security guard position. Now as a security guard social skills developed early proved valuable with interactions with the general public. This led to many private security jobs locally while building the first professional company, Twin Lights Security. In addition Patrick became a Constable for Gloucester & Beverly delving in the civil law enforcement field with responsibilities of serving evictions, summons and capias arrests. As the jobs got more demanding and with a higher profile, we decided to hire a private investigator to run the company for about four years. This environment provided a valuable training opportunity that dovetailed perfectly with security and constable duties. Orion Services Inc is essentially a relaunch with rebranding of my former company Twin Lights Security.
